The Challenge

The path to becoming a physician is long and complex. Students move from pre-med to residency with limited access to structured, trustworthy guidance and must rely instead on fragmented tools and informal advice. Doctors historically have had to search across multiple platforms for the resources and connections they need to grow early in their careers. A lack of community and consolidated information was negatively impacting young physicians’ progress.

The Outcome

Flower Press Interactive was engaged to help solve the problem of disconnected online resources for medical students and early doctors. Flower Press researched and created several platforms that work together to fill this gap, resulting in forums that hold deep institutional knowledge, calculators and selection tools, and residency review functions. The outcome is a support network community, where aspiring physicians can learn from those who have already navigated the path.

Our Approach

These platforms are built on a community that supports itself. While forums offer rich, experience-based insight, that knowledge is often difficult to access and apply. We reframed community as infrastructure where discussions become structured, searchable insights with clear pathways from conversation to decision-making. From competitiveness scoring to residency reviews, each tool addresses a specific need, but together they represent the full journey. We connected these tools into a cohesive system with seamless transitions, allowing each interaction to build on the last. Because this journey spans years, not sessions, we designed for continuity. A consistent experience ensures users are supported from early exploration through residency decisions.

Ongoing Growth

With a strong foundation in place, users continue to mold the student-doctor community. New visitors can search forums and reviews for user-generated content going back several years and build connections with those currently using the platform. By building the pieces of a community, we were able to create a space where physicians support one another at every stage.
