SheSports

Connecting young girls with female college athletes for advice, inspiration, and more.

The Challenge

Young female athletes today are navigating pressures amplified by social media: comparison, self-doubt, and conflicting advice. Many struggle to find authentic guidance rooted in lived experience. At the same time, female college athletes face their own challenges. Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities are limited, making it difficult to expand their visibility and profit from their expertise.

SheSports set out to bridge this gap by creating a space where young girls could access real, relatable mentorship, while athletes could grow their voice and expand their reach.

The Outcome

SheSports became the first platform where the users themselves drive the conversation. Girls and parents can submit their own questions on topics ranging from body image and balancing academics with athletics to training, friendships, and leadership. Female college athletes then respond directly with honest, actionable advice in written or video posts. These posts are available for other SheSports users to view, allowing the community to benefit from each answered question.

The result is a supportive and interactive experience that stands out from those on social media. Girls gain authentic mentorship from role models they admire, athletes expand their visibility and NIL potential, and parents feel confident knowing the community is safe thanks to thoughtful built-in moderation. Together, these elements create a trusted space designed to inspire confidence, connection, and growth.

SheSports redefines how young girls interact with their role models. It's a positive, safe environment to explore life's challenges and succeed in sports. – Founder, SheSports

Our Approach

Flower Press Interactive partnered with SheSports from the very beginning, guiding the project from concept to launch. The team began with discovery and validation, leading user interviews to understand the needs of young athletes, parents, and college players. From these insights, Flower Press refined workflows and prototypes to ensure the platform addressed the right pain points.

Once validated, Flower Press designers created a vibrant and intuitive app tailored to three user groups: girls, athletes, and parents. Colorful screens and icons kept the experience fun and age-appropriate, while an admin portal allowed for moderation to ensure safety and trust.

On the development side, engineers built SheSports for both iOS and Android using React, incorporating AI technology to streamline the build process, anticipate issues, and accelerate launch. The app was designed with seamless video and text Q&A functionality to support the heart of the platform. In parallel, Flower Press designers created an engaging marketing website to introduce SheSports, drive awareness, and encourage downloads.

Ongoing Growth

SheSports is redefining how young female athletes access mentorship and advice directly from women who have walked in their shoes. By creating an authentic, supportive platform, SheSports not only empowers girls but also amplifies the voices of female athletes in the NIL era.

The app's colorful palette is incorporated in a simple marketing site at SheSports.com.
