PROJECT SUMMARY
A responsive site for a company at the forefront of an automotive software revolution
OpenCar offers an API that allows developers to access vehicle data and connect drivers to their digital worlds via smartphone and IVI displays. OpenCar is targeting automakers as their primary market, encouraging them to harness the power of an open platform to turn the center console and smartphones into an extension of the branded driving experience. OpenCar engaged Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC to design and develop a responsive website and marketing visuals to quickly and easily communicate their value proposition. We started with wireframes, and clickable prototypes for desktop, tablet and mobile. After user testing, we quickly moved on to visual design and defining the brand assets. We established a clean, simple illustration style using a palette of green, white, grey and blue. The style was created to be easy to replicate so we could partner with internal designers to complete the large number of diagrams and info-graphics required for launch. We built the site responsively or easy viewing on all devices with a Wordpress admin for easy updating. The automakers and developers area also include resource downloads, which require registration, allowing OpenCar to easily harvest leads from the site.
