PROJECT SUMMARY
Its like Facebook for medical school applicants
When Ryan Radecki started MD Applicants back in 2003, he was applying to medical school and thought it would be interesting to track the acceptance stats of his peers, based on their test scores and undergrad GPAs. The experiment soon became a destination site for students applying to medical school. With just over 10,000 user generated profiles, he decided to invest the time and money to make MD Applicants into a real site with a fully functioning set of interactive features.

He came to Flower Press Creative Studio to create his brand identity, website, and a fully-custom back-end. We worked with him to identify his key brand features, and developed a simple logo with a bright and engaging palette. From there, we worked with him to wireframe the pages and design the user interactions. On this site, users can search for user profiles and view their stats. They can find schools, and view acceptance rates for applicants of different qualification levels. Further, they can directly engage with users by tracking profiles, sending personal messages and posting comments. There is a discussion area on each user's profiles, as well as, a blog. Users can also start conversations in the school-specific forums area and get into in-depth discussions.

The goal with this project was to add all the features users would require to learn and share from their collective experience. All features were programmed in PHP using a MySQL database back-end. The simple admin section allows the administrator to login as any user and manage content that way.
